The weather here the last couple of days is surely a reminder that the summer has gone and winter is not far away.
We are keeping busy with our after school bible club and the kids band and continually seeking Yahweh's guidance in what we should be doing.
This Saturday we will be at the Grace Evangelical Church in Longmont at 2:20 pm.
Our dulcimer building friend from church has blessed us with a double or courting dulcimer. It has a larger body and two necks facing opposite directions. Two people sit facing each other and play it at the same time. Annie and I have discovered that it is not as easy as it looks. We can almost do Row, Row, Row Your Boat as a round, but like I said, almost.
The same gracious gentleman has also loaned Annie a fiddle to use and see if she would like to learn how to play it. She's only had it since Sunday and seems to be making some music on it, not just a bunch of noise.
I guess we will be busy working on new instruments as well as new songs.
Our First Friday Fests continue on at the Pierce Baptist Church the next one is October 2nd.
If you're in the area join us some time.
we continue to sing as we go. . .

Saturday August 15th we will be singing for the Harriman Community Church dinner and potluck. They're having a burn your own meat dinner. Sounds like a great time. The dinner is at4:30 and we will sing for an hour at 5:30. There is more information at their website. Of course getting to spend the day in the hills between Laramie and Cheyenne is always a plus.

Where did the summer go?
We have kept busy with our music, 4-H and our kids afternoon bible club.
We were blessed to be a part of two Gospelgrass festivals this year. The festival at Calhan is never a disappointment, it was great to see old friends and make some new ones. Of course the music was great and fellowshipping with other people that believe the way you do is always such an uplifting time. We also spent four days in the hills of Wyoming at the Happy Jack Music Festival. We had family come see us on Sunday which was very special and spnet time hiking and planning with no tv, computer, and even very little wind.
Annie's horseless horse project was selected to go to the State Fair, which made us all very proud of her and all her hard work.
Our afternoon club at Pierce is going strong. We've been averaging 20 kids a week which is great. We also have several who have started taking guitar lessons and are forming the JOYFUL NOISE BAND. They will be taking their music out into the community and sharing the gospel message with others.
Charlie is still without steady work, but the LORD keeps providing. We have food on the table, a roof over our heads, and seems like we always have the gas money to get where He sends us. Ti truly is a priviledge and honor to get to serve such a loving and gracious God.
May you all have a very blessed rest of the summer.

First Friday Fests
We are excited to announce the latest in our lives. Starting May 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Pierce we will have what we are billing as mini-festivals. Each and every First Friday we will have supper at 5:30 followed by a concert at 6:30 and conclude the evening with an old-time jam. In May our friends Gary and Suzie Solomon will bring their old-time 'porch' music to the church for a good time. On June 5th, the band "Dry Creek" featuring Bill and Carol Trombee will be the featured performers.
If you have an act, musical, comedy, even a family friendly, Christ centered drama, we would love to discuss being a part of us. Contact us at SING2HIMPLUS1@yahoo.com.
If you don't have an act and are in the area join us for a free evening of fellowship, music and fun. Email us for more details.

we are still here
I could list 100 reasons why I haven't kept this blog up to date, but the real reason is that I have let life circumstances - and every excuse in the book - get in the way of doing what I really should be doing. Charlie is going on a year of not having a regular paycheck, we've had to move in with my family so Internet time is limited, and the rest of my reasons are only cheap excuses. We've had a lot of good things happen this past year also. There were the GospelGrass Festivals we participated in. We have been in on an after school Bible Club at the First Baptist Church of Pierce since it began last July. We are starting a First Friday Fest in May at church. There is a lot to be thankful for and that is what I need to remember.
We are working on getting our own web site up, and making our own CD, and Annie and I have Facebook Accounts. We are doing more music at area nursing homes and praying about what we can do to financially survive AND serve Father Yahweh at the same time.
There is a lot to share but for now I can say that I updated the blog.
we will always be singing as we go . . .

PS We are looking for Christian performers - musicians, comedians, etc that would like to be a featured performer at one of our First Friday Fests. We can't guarantee how many people will be there but we will feed you supper and take up a offering for you and have a good time. Contact me at SING2HIMPLUS1@yahoo.com for open dates and more information.
