I just found out that we will be doing a 30 minute set of our music at the Sutton's Barn Dance on September 29. It should be a fun afternoon/evening. There will be music and potluck supper followed by a traditional square dance. It looks like we will sing at 3:30. Email me if you would like more information. I have a flyer somewhere in my never ending pile of papers to file that I would be more than willing to send to anyone.

The new Bluegrass Gospel Jam season will soon be upon us here in Northern Colorado. If you aren't familiar with the jams it is an afternoon of free family fun. Musicians of all ages and abilities join each other singing and picking good old fashioned gospel songs. Everyone is encouraged to participate to the best of their ability, even it that ability consists of only being able to make a joyful noise. We are thankful for the doors that have been opened for us by our attendance at some of these jams. If you are in northern Colorado take time to join us at one or more of the following scheduled events, and if you aren't in Northern Colorado, there are jams all across the country.
Upcoming Bluegrass Gospel Jams in Northern Colorado:
September 8th 1:30 pm
Johnson's Corner Truck Stop south of Loveland on I-25
September 22 1:30 pm
Pierce Baptist Church
The group Circuit Riders from Cody Wyoming will present their music followed by a jam
October 6 1:30 pm
Buckhorn Presbyterian Church, Masonville
October 13 1:30 pm
Johnson's Corner
Hope you can come have some fun with some really neat people.

I know I said in the beginning that the blog would be about where we would be, but as of now we have a couple of places we may be playing at but nothing is confirmed as of today. We did get to spend two days last week in Wyoming at a musicians retreat. Of course there was jamming going on but the best thing was spending two days hiking, just the three of us, and being able to enjoy some of Gods finest creation. Of course the fact that there was no city noise and very few people around helped immensely. It also gave us time to think and pray and dream about how we want to glorify our maker in every aspect of our music, and lives. I think the best part of the trip, for me anyway, was all the little things Annie got to experience for the first time, especially seeing the Milky Way. [Where we live that never happens.] We saw animals and flowers and fed chipmunks our popcorn, and came home with ideas for new songs and projects for school.

I wanted to take a couple of minutes and let everyone know about the place we spend our Sunday mornings. We are part of the praise band for the Pierce Baptist Church. This is not your ordinary praise band. It is all acoustic, except for the weeks the organist comes, and it is old time gospel music. We've have only been going for a month now but it is so exciting to see something new start to happen. Pastor Cliff felt led to start something like this and within two weeks he had it going. One other special thing for me is that Annie is welcome to bring her guitar and be a part of the praise team just like the grown-ups. Age and ability are not factors in who is welcome to be a part of the team. If you're ever in the area on a Sunday morning, the church is located at 5th and Cave in Pierce. Services start at 11:00. And if you'd like to join in with the praise team we practice at 9:45.

Greetings.
This is the offical blog of the family music group formally known as the Charlie Pantier Family. As of last week we changed the name to sing2Him+one. I hope that you will check back often, for now this is where we will keep our music information up-to-date.
sing2Him+one is an acoustic music group that consists of my husband, who plays harmonica and sometimes guitar, myself who plays guitar and banjo and our nine year old daughter who plays guitar. We all write orginal songs, sing and enjoy doing our traditional style music for the LORD.
As the days come I will expand on who and what we are and let you know where we will be playing. I wanted to get the blog set up as I have to finish up our promo packet this week. . . but that is another story.
